What happens in the greenhouse always comes out…

So, God is good, and I made it to retirement! Nothing to do but pursue gardening! SO-last year’s real-world lessons in gardening led to a greenhouse- and the idea of overwintering cuttings taken from various plants especially tomatoes. I only meant to keep them alive and replant them. Not the way it happened. The 30 or so cuttings are now over 100, as I had to repeatedly cut and clone them when they hit the lights. This sequence of events produced some interesting plants. Some are now multi-stem, some are a 3 month old root ball with a short main stem with one bright sucker, ready to take on the world. My goal has evolved into seeing if I can make an indeterminate grow in a more concentrated area than is their habit. I also have a theory that plants that survive this “program” will become more suited to this environment, even the artificial period, and flourish. The other biggie from the greenhouse is sweet potatoes. From 4 small tubers of 2 varieties I have dozens of slips, now mature plants… They may be almost as interesting as tomatoes! And here’s the new seedling cabinet. Holds 16 12 X 24 trays.
