‘Butler Skinner’ is a very flavorful tomato from Kentucky named after Butler Skinner, a jailer who always grew a plant in front of the city jail. Listed in Seed Savers Exchange in 2009 by Neil Lockhart.
Pink beefsteaks weighing 11-18oz./300-500g are borne on indeterminate vines with regular leaf foliage. The fruit has smooth, meaty flesh with a well-balanced flavor and a potent aroma. An excellent slicer for topping sandwiches and burgers. This variety ripens for enjoyment about 75-80 days after transplant.
