‘Faelans First Snow’ is a very unique plant with beautiful, variegated foliage. It came from a variegated Cherokee purple plant, found by Steve Noonan Jr., USA, in a garden center between tomatoes labeled as ‘Cherokee Purple’. He bought and grew the plant out, saved seeds, named it after a wolf (Faelan means ‘young wolf’ in Old Irish Gaelic language), and sent them to several growers. This variegated version of the ‘Cherokee Purple’ tomato was stabilized by Blane Horton of Jackson, Mississippi, USA.

Large, purple tomatoes with clear epidermis weighing 10-14oz./284-397g are born on indeterminate vines with variegated regular leaf foliage. The purple fruit has smooth, green shoulders, a sweet and rich flavor, and an excellent aroma. A visually captivating variety for Caprese salads, sliced platters, or any fresh summer dish. Ripening will begin during the middle of the growing season, about 75 days after transplanting.
